NOT A COMPREHENSIVE SERIES WIN FOR INDIA YET...

Congratulations to Team India for winning the ODI series at Baroda. But I feel it is just a series win. If India win its next 2 games and make it 5-0 then I will say it is comprehensive win and that is expected of them because team like Bangladesh can defeat Kiwis 4-0 then Team India is far superior than Bangladesh. Gambhir has grabbed the opportunity of leading the side with both hands and I must say this series will prove turning point in his career. He has proved that he is having great cricketing brain and know how to use its resources. His field placements were innovative and impeccable, moreover he is pro-active in his approach and most significant thing is that he never allowed the pressure of captaincy to dominate his batting. So he is perfect captain till date and did everything right.
Another positive came out for Team India is form of Virat Kohli he played 3 fantastic innings in this series and proved that he is the one on whom India can rely for long term. Although chances are very less that he will be included in final 11 of World Cup but he will be in final 14.  I feel kind of form he is in he can bat anywhere in batting order. Now big test of Kohli will be the South Africa tour. If he succeeds in South Africa then it will be confirmed that guy is class act and have to be included in final eleven for World Cup.

Currently India have all the momentum with them and every player is performing and contributing towards the success of the team and this is a good sign for Indian cricket. Munaf Patel Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj SIngh and Yusuf Pathan impressed in this series with bat and ball and that augurs well for future. I feel sorry for the Vinay Kumar who didn't get the chance to play in any of the ODIs and dropped without playing single match.
Coming 2 matches will provide opportunity to players like Sourabh Tiwary, Praveen Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel to prove their worth and get into the side permanently. Especially for Sourabh Tiwary this series will be crucial because he is travelling with team but did not get any opportunity to prove his capabilities. He played very well in IPL 3 and since then waiting for his chance to play in International game.
Coming to Kiwi team, I think they are now completely demoralised the way they lost matches in this series so far. They promised too much when they competed hard in first 2 test matches and it looked like their loss in Bangladesh was just a fluke but from 3rd test match onwards their performance has been deteriorated and they are consistently losing matches. Although they have certain injury problems but Team India is also not playing at its full strength so atleast close competitiveness was expected from Kiwis but they lost the matches quite easily and looked like a club side. I think last 2 ODIs is the chance for them to prove that they are still a good side to beat any team on its day. They already have McCullum and Vettori in the side and I think this will help them to win the next two ODIs. India will look to experiment in next two matches. So I feel Kiwis have great chance to win the remaining matches and restore their pride and regain the confidence ahead of home series aginst Pakistan. For them Styris and Guptill are looking in touch but they have to look at form of Kane Williamson who was expected to do well in the series after his good performance in test matches. Ross Taylor is another disappointment of the series. Next two matches are the last chance of preparations for Kiwis ahead of World Cup in sub-continent.
